Blockade stymied for Now
Back in July I wrote about the blockade resolution against Iran (H. Con. Res. 362). This past week the House decided to table this idea. It seems dead.
While this is excellent news, and an answer to prayer, there is still much concern over US-Iran relations.

So Palin wants countries in NATO with active border disputes with Russia, a country with thousands of nuclear weapons? Are you ready to die for Abkhazia or South Ossetia? How about the Crimea–if Ukraine joins, that could be another flashpoint.
She (and McCain) have a lot of explaining to do.
